University of IL (UIUC) #1: "I am writing to first say thank you for the scholarship your organization provided to me to continue my postsecondary academic career. It has been a tremendous help as I continue through my second year of college. Your contribution has provided assistance that allows me to follow one of my dreams of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. My journey has had its fair share of ups and downs, however, upon completing 3 semesters, I have maintained a "B+" average gpa as well as becoming an active member of several clubs and volunteer organizations, taking on leadership roles within each of them.
